About this site

This ghost.org blog was launched in April 2025 by Florian Kromer.

Why yet another blog nobody cares about?

To some degree the content has been published using other technologies and platforms (e.g. WordPress, Medium, Hugo, Leanpub) before. Due to various reasons (e.g. unsatisfied with CMS capabilities, insufficient protection of intellectual property from beeing used to train AI models without permission, difficulties in compensating the time invested to create content, difficulties in funding of server cost, etc.) I decided to migrate the content to where it's located right now.

How does the content look like?

Consider the content as public part of my digital garden (private knowledge management system). This blog does not contain AI generated half-truths. I like to write posts to train summarizing topic in an easy to understand and easy to communicate way. The majority of posts is as generic and as valuable as possible to as many potential readers as possible. I'm aiming at writing the majority of posts about strategic and tactical topics. Operational topics are referenced in posts if required.

Key principles of successful strategic planning and the importance of timing
  • Strategy is the definition of long-term goals and ways to achieve them. It is a plan that defines where the company should go and how to succeed in the medium and long term.
  • Tactics are actions and decisions aimed at achieving specific goals and accomplishing tasks to support a strategy. Tactics is about working within daily operations and controlling ongoing processes.
  • Operations are the third component that complements strategy and tactics. Operations define the specific processes, methods, and steps that are performed on a daily or regular basis to ensure the normal operation of an organization.
